Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Model
LabourNet Foundation’s Industrial Training Institute (ITI) under Directorate General of Training (DGT) demonstrates its capability to manage and operate high-quality vocational training institutions that combine technical education, employability development, and industry engagement.
Through the management of an ITI in Doom Dooma, Assam, LabourNet Foundation has created pathways for youth from remote and underserved communities to access industry-recognised training, certifications, and sustainable employment opportunities.
Located in one of Northeast India’s underserved regions for technical education, the institute was established to bridge the gap between local talent and industry demand. The model focuses on equipping learners with practical skills, workplace competencies, and industry exposure that prepare them for long-term career success.
The institute delivers DGT-affiliated, NSQF-aligned training programmes across multiple trades while integrating employability skills, digital literacy, financial literacy, and workplace readiness into the learning journey with a 8.8 DGT score.

LUIT 2026, themed “Rooted to Rise: Celebrating the Spirit of Youth,” was Suprabhat ITI’s flagship annual festival that brought together students, industry leaders, educators, and the wider community.
The event featured sports, cultural performances, and an engaging industry panel discussion on “Industry Perspectives on Skilling Bharat,” where experts shared insights on employability, workforce readiness, and emerging career opportunities.
